Gangster in the White House, Campaign 2024 Edition (Updated in 2023) & the original book, Gangster in the White House, Imagining another kind of "Don" as President of the United States, (2021, Amazon Books)
During most of the Twentieth Century when syndicated Italian organized crime flourished in America, there existed a management structure consisting of notorious gangsters possessing diverse strategies and skills directed toward the perpetuation of the control of a vast network of criminal enterprises throughout North America.
Although violent lawbreakers, they were not all bloodthirsty thugs lacking cerebral talents and positive public images. Still today, their historic exploits and identities remain popular with the American public in the form of documentaries, screenplays and novels.
In 2020, 75 million Americans cast presidential ballots for a candidate who mimicked many of the negative characteristics of those mobsters. Had this electoral atmosphere existed during the era of the Cosa Nostra, might a different kind of "Don" become a leading contender for the White House?

Mafia-crats of New York:
A detective’s costly crusade against mob-inspired corruption
Amazon Books, 2021
The politicians of local government have been historically influenced by the hierarchy of organized crime in New York. In the past, the underworld even extended its tentacles into local law enforcement.
This book explores the path taken by an anticorruption detective whose life had been handicapped by various forms of governmental misconduct and intimidated by threats to reveal the nature of his private life. In his pursuit of justice, he is haunted by thoughts that his actions may have been inspired by a subconscious feeling toward the need for revenge. He has been accused by his opponents of adopting a callous disregard for the welfare of criminal offenders even where they have committed marginal violations of the law. They have maintained that his distaste for corruption knows no boundaries and shows no mercy.

Cops in the Wilderness:
How the Covid-19 Pandemic Impacted Rural Policing
Amazon Books, 2021
“Cops in the Wilderness” describes the chaotic abyss that American law enforcement now occupies.
The population movement of the city dwellers to the countryside threatens to submerge rural police into the same precarious place that urban police now occupy.
The Covid-19 Pandemic has highlighted the disastrous conditions of urban life which includes the rapid transmission of the disease in areas of high population density.
The collateral damage has been the dramatic increase in violent crime and the introduction of civil demonstrations and riots to protest the response of city law enforcement to the lawlessness.
In addition, the restrictions upon city entertainment and hospitality venues have inspired urbanites to live and work, in a remote fashion, from more sparsely populated areas in the countryside.

Magistrate in Mobster-Ville
A Young Cajun Prosecutor Struggles with Bureaucracy while Battling Organized Crime and Corruption.
Xlibris Publishing, 2017
“Magistrate in Mobster-Ville” is a novel which takes place within the Metropolitan Area of New Orleans, Louisiana. It illustrates the life of a young lawyer who devotes his career to the investigation and prosecution of crimes while negotiating the roadblocks of governmental bureaucracy. While the characters, occurrences and venues discussed in this novel are fictitious, American district attorney’s offices routinely deal with the types of bizarre events depicted in its chapters. In reality, prosecutors are rarely celebrated for their legal successes, but their infrequent miscalculations are publicly scrutinized by appellate courts and media outlets.
The prospective reader may tend to question the motivation of a young law school graduate in pursuing a career within this thankless profession. The target audience for this work might be those considering a career in law enforcement, litigation or those who are already veterans of one of these career paths. I believe that it outlines most of the possible avenues and deviations that such a career might lead one to travel.

Lore Enforcement:
The need to…..Make American Justice Relate Again.
Xlibris Publishing, 2018
In recent years modern law enforcement has suffered from a lack of public trust and confidence which may be attributed to its preoccupation with the policing practices of the past. Problems such as racial profiling, unprofessional leadership, lack of innovation, decentralized command, nepotism and narrow recruiting policies persist.
This book examines the radical ideas of a non-traditional veteran of law enforcement who sees the need for a drastic transformation of our criminal justice system and the possibility of introducing alternative practices which conform to the needs of our contemporary society. While American law enforcement has been one of the institutions most resistant to reformation, current social conditions may provide a climate in which change is inevitable. Included are four testing exercises designed to identify those candidates or current practitioners suitable for law enforcement service in the 21st century.
While I encourage everyone to consider the new approaches suggested in this book, I must caution readers not to accept them without creative skepticism. In a fast-moving technological world, problems change and new answers emerge instantaneously.
The ultimate goal must be to encourage those responsible for the administration of our justice system to open their minds to the consideration of new approaches. As Albert Einstein has written "the measure of intelligence is the ability to change.
Criminal Law for Non-Criminals:
100 Most Misunderstood Legal Principles, Clarified
Amazon Books, 2021
Law abiding citizens, unlike criminal offenders, rarely have occasion to research criminal law or legal history. The entertainment media, rumors and myths supply a large portion of the content of the average person’s knowledge.
This book attempts to reveal the inaccuracies of some common clichés associated with our legal system by suggesting that readers complete the true or false quizzes. Ten specialized areas of legal study are represented in the quizzes and answer chapters.
While there is no substitute for the knowledge obtained by being dragged through stages of a criminal prosecution as an offender, hopefully, this book will help non-criminals develop a new appreciation for the complex principles of the justice system.
